The best week of the year in golf betting and golf in general is here.

The Masters will be April 9-12 at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia.

Scottie Scheffler enters with the best odds to win at +550, but he’s closely followed by Jon Rahm at +1000 and then Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy at +1200.

Most everyone is familiar with Augusta National, especially how exciting the back-9 can get, especially on Sunday, with plenty of birdie and eagle opportunities, but also the chance to make a big number.

I will be focusing on a number of metrics this week, but perhaps most importantly, past success at Augusta National. Here are the metrics I will be focusing on: Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green, par-5 scoring, driving distance, proximity 200+ yards and three-putt avoidance.

*odds as of April 7

Masters Best Bets

Cameron Young Outright Winner (+2000)

Sure, winning the Players Championship and the Masters is very hard to do in consecutive starts, but it was just done a year ago with McIlroy.

Young has always had the talent, coming so close to winning on the PGA Tour until last summer’s Wyndham Championship, which helped get him on the U.S. Ryder Cup team, where he was arguably the best American all week.

The win, along with his Ryder Cup performance, has seemed to give him the confidence he’s needed to get over the hump.

Young has always been one of the best drivers on the PGA Tour, but his putter has held him back. Over the last year-plus, he’s turned the putter into a strength, which has also helped his overall play.

Specific to Augusta, he had back-to-back top-10 finishes in 2023 and 2024, so the course history is there as well.

Ludvig Aberg Top-10 Finish (+130)

Aberg is playing some terrific golf right now, entering the Masters with three straight top-5 finishes, and has finished second and seventh in his only two appearances at Augusta.

He’s not a terrible option for the outright winner market, but there are some questions about his ability to close and how he performs on Sunday. This came into play on Sunday at TPC Sawgrass.

Regardless, plus-money on a top 10 feels like great value.

Jordan Spieth Top-20 Finish (+130)

While Spieth is coming off a disappointing Valero Texas Open, where he finished T-63, that is not indicative of the golf he’s played so far in 2025.

It feels like he’s as close as he’s been in years, highlighted by T-12 or better in three of four events prior to last week.

And he obviously has a great history at Augusta, winning in 2015 and totaling six top-5 finishes.

Corey Conners Top-20 Finish (+175)

It’s no surprise Conners has four top-10 finishes at Augusta, given his ball-striking. His putter has always been the club that has held him back and prevented him from winning a major.

With that said, his game is plenty good for a strong week, and he comes in with back-to-back finishes inside the top 15.

Zach Johnson Top-40 Finish (+200)

Did you know the 2007 Masters champion finished T-8 here last year? And now on the PGA Tour Champions, in three starts, he’s finished first, second, and third. The 50-year-old is playing some solid golf, and in a smaller field, just making the cut gives him a great chance in this market.
