It’s officially Masters week, and the best week of the year when it comes to golf betting.

Going into the event, defending champion Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite, as he is +550 to win in Masters odds. Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau are next at +1100, as of Monday.

Picking an outright winner is extremely hard to do, but there are some trends to know for this week at Augusta National.

Masters Betting Strategy

More so than most tournaments, past performance at Augusta National is imperative. Given all the subtleties to the course, first-time players are at a disadvantage, and the more experience a player has, the better off they are.

Knowing the proper way to play certain holes is very important to have success this week. Longer hitters do have an advantage on some holes, but for the most part, the course is about ball striking and navigating the fast and tricky greens.

It is also crucial to take advantage of the four par-5s, especially the two on the back nine.
