It is another big week on the PGA Tour, with the Memorial Tournament from Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
Since it is a PGA Tour signature event, virtually all of the best PGA Tour players are in the field.
Scottie Scheffler is a massive favorite, as he is +300 to win this week. He has won the event each of the last two years.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Muirfield Village typically plays similarly to most major championship venues, as conditions are usually firm and fast, and it’s about controlling approach shots to hold the greens.
At over 7,500 yards, it is one of the longer courses on the PGA Tour, so distance off the tee does help. But more so, it is about finding fairways to make approaches easier.
This week, I will be prioritizing a number of metrics, including Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, Driving Distance, Par-5 Scoring, Par 4: 450-500 yards, Proximity: 175+ yards, Good Drives Gained, Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green, Scrambling Gained, Bogey Avoidance and Strokes Gained: Putting.

The Memorial Prediction
Scottie Scheffler is predicted to win the Memorial Tournament with a 25% implied probability, according to betting markets. Rory McIlroy is next at 9.09%.
Implied probability is the overall chance of a potential outcome in relation to the odds.
The Memorial Tournament Best Bets
Matt Fitzpatrick Winner Without Scottie Scheffler (+1800)
It’s really hard not to like Scheffler this week, as he’s won this event each of the last two years, and hasn’t won an event overall in 11 starts – his longest stretch without a win since 2023.
With that being said, it’s best to find some alternatives, and the Winner Without Scottie Scheffler is a good market for that.
Obviously, Fitzpatrick is playing some outstanding golf this season, winning three times already. And now he comes to Muirfield Village, a place where he’s finished inside the top 10 in three of his last six appearances.
His game suits Muirfield perfectly, as he thrives on tough golf courses, and his irons and scrambling have been close to the best of his career this season.
Ben Griffin Top-10 Finish (+250)
It was a slow start to the year for Griffin, but he appears to have turned a corner.
Griffin has three top-10 finishes in his last five starts, including a T-3 at the Charles Schwab Challenge a week ago.
He also finished solo second to Scheffler a year ago here, so he has those positive vibes going for him.
Jordan Spieth Top-20 Finish (+125)
While Spieth doesn’t have a top-10 finish this season, he’s been fairly consistent, totaling seven top 20s, including three in his last four starts.
He’s shown he has what it takes to win; he just can’t put four complete rounds together.
Spieth hasn’t won at Muirfield Village, but he has a solid record with seven top-20 finishes in 11 appearances, including a T-7 last year.
