Below, I’ve outlined three players worth a look for OAD pools this week at the RBC Canadian Open.
For those unfamiliar, OAD pools closely mirror an NFL survivor contest. Players select a golfer each week and earn their prize money at the conclusion of the event.
The catch? Contestants can only use a player once. Additionally, not all prize pools are created equally, which further adds to the game theory.

3 Best RBC Canadian Open One-and-Done Picks
Option #1: Sam Burns (+1600)
Burns arrives at TPC Toronto off a top-five finish at the Memorial. Last year, he finished as the runner-up to Ryan Fox at this event.
It will surprise me if the Canadian Open proves anything but a putting contest. In his win here last year, Fox paired outstanding iron play with above-average putting en route to victory.
Burns spiked to +1.48 SG: APP at Muirfield Village. He also gained four strokes putting for the second straight event, along with his third success in the last five.
If there’s a concern, it’s that Burns’ approach play marked his best output of the calendar year.
In fact, the last time Burns gained more than five strokes on approach before last week was the 2025 U.S. Open.
But if the putter stays hot, Burns can absolutely replicate his result from last year.
Option #2: Aaron Rai (+4000)
Surprisingly, the 2026 PGA champion is +4000 to win this week despite a strong week at Memorial.
He remained steady with his irons at Muirfield Village, gaining +0.93 strokes per round. Over his last 12 measured rounds, Rai gained north of +1.4 SG: APP eight times.
At Muirfield Village, Rai struggled with his putter. After averaging +1.74 SG: Putting in his Aronimink victory, Rai regressed to -0.38 on the quick Muirfield greens.
Still, the putting upside remains. His Muirfield putting record stemmed from two rounds south of -1 strokes gained putting.
In addition to his PGA Championship putting performance, Rai spiked to +0.78 SG: Putting at the Myrtle Beach Classic.
What gives me the most encouragement, however, is the ball-striking. That record should lead to a high floor for Rai in a weak field.
Option #3: Eric Cole (+4500)
Two straight top-10s plus two additional top-14s in his last five have Cole playing his best golf.
He followed a runner-up at Colonial with an eighth-place finish at Muirfield Village. Cole has now gained strokes putting in six straight events while seeing an uptick in his iron play.
Cole jumped from +0.58 SG: APP at Colonial to +0.76 at Muirfield Village. Since April, he ranks fourth in SG: APP within this field behind Alex Fitzpatrick, Mark Hubbard and Rai.
From a putting standpoint, only Wyndham Clark and Sam Burns gained more strokes with the flat stick.
If there’s a concern, it’s that Cole struggled at this venue last year.
He missed the weekend at TPC Toronto in 2025, losing 5.5 strokes to the field in his second round.
However, I place more stock in his recent form. Given his worst finish over the last five events is T-31st, I like Cole as an option in a smaller prize pool.
