The PGA Tour has a new CEO, Brian Rolapp, who has been working closely with the Future Competition Committee on what the Tour’s future will look like.

At the beginning, it seemed like 2027 would be the year for major scheduling changes, but speaking at the 2026 Players Championship, Rolapp indicated those changes would likely not fully go into effect until 2028.

PGA Tour 2027 Schedule Changes

Given that the majority of the changes will not go into effect until 2028, it appears the 2027 PGA Tour schedule will not look a heck of a lot different.

One thing that likely will change is that the Hawaii portion of the schedule will be eliminated, and the season will start later in January.

It is also possible that the 2027 PGA Tour playoffs will change, but the bulk of the schedule will likely stay the same. It’s possible the order of the West Coast events gets changed, with the Super Bowl being President’s Day weekend and the WM Phoenix Open typically being played the same week.

It is worth noting that the following sponsorship deals end for the following tournaments after the 2026 season:

  • Sony Open in Hawaii
  • Farmers Insurance Open
  • Charles Schwab Challenge
  • Wyndham Championship
