The 2028 PGA Tour schedule will look a lot different. Not only will there be the Championship Series and the Challenger Series, but there will also be some new courses thrown into the mix.

Brian Rolapp suggested the Tour will be in some new markets and play some different courses as part of the new Tour.

Here are a few courses the Tour could play some events at in 2028.

Predicting New PGA Tour Courses

Liberty National

It seems likely the Northeast will get another event or two, with the New York metro area being one of them.

There are plenty of great courses to choose from, but not many that are capable of hosting a PGA Tour event from a size standpoint.

With that being said, Liberty National has hosted the Northern Trust in 2009, 2013, 2019, and 2021. It will also host the 2027 BMW Championship.

TPC Boston

This is a pretty similar situation for Liberty National. The Boston area has plenty of awesome courses, just not many that are capable of hosting a PGA Tour event.

The course was home to the Dell Technologies Championship from 2003–2018 and the Northern Trust in 2020 and 2022, so it certainly can do it. It just won’t challenge the players all that much as winning scores have exceeded 20-under multiple times.

Caves Valley

The Metro Atlantic area also seems likely to get a PGA Tour event.

Aronimink, Philadelphia Cricket Club and Merion would all be great options, but Caves Valley outside of Baltimore might be the easiest for the Tour to execute.

It hosted the BMW Championship in 2021 and 2025.

TPC Harding Park

The West Coast will also certainly get more events, including San Francisco.

TPC Harding Park seems like a logical place, given it’s hosted several big events in the past, including the 2020 PGA Championship.
