Following another exciting Masters, it will be another big week on the PGA Tour with the RBC Heritage from the iconic Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
It is a PGA Tour signature event, with all the biggest stars on the PGA Tour in the field, with the exception of Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Hideki Matsuyama.
Scottie Scheffler has the best odds to win at +350, while Justin Thomas is the defending champion.
Harbour Town is a Pete Dye design, known for its small greens. It is one of the shortest courses on the PGA Tour, so distance is not needed to have success here. It is about hitting the tree-lined fairways, hitting tiny greens and getting up-and-down when necessary.
The winning score has only exceeded 20-under once since 2012, so while birdies will be made, it will not be a complete birdie-fest.
I will be focusing on several key metrics, including Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green, GIR Gained, Fairways Gained, Strokes Gained: Putting and par-5 scoring.
I will also target players who have had success both here and at other Dye-designed courses.
*odds as of April 14
RBC Heritage Prediction
Scottie Scheffler is expected to win the RBC Heritage with a 22.22% implied probability, according to betting markets. Xander Schauffele is next at 6.67%.
Implied probability is the overall chance of a potential outcome in relation to the odds.
RBC Heritage Best Bets
Patrick Cantlay Outright Winner (+2200)
Cantlay’s last PGA Tour win was back at the BMW Championship in 2022, so he is certainly due. Thomas snapped a long winless drought last year here, so this is a place where it can happen.
Even more importantly, Cantlay has had a tremendous amount of success at Harbour Town. In eight appearances, he has six finishes T-7 or better, including losing in a playoff back in 2022.
After a slow start to the year, he seems to have found something, with back-to-back finishes inside the top 12, including at the Masters last week.
Jordan Spieth Top-10 Finish (+225)
Spieth maintains he’s playing as well as he has in years, but the results just don’t match how well he’s playing.
With that said, he has five top-25 finishes in 2026, with his best being T-11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Valspar Championship.
Harbour Town is a place Spieth has enjoyed success at — winning in 2022 and losing in a playoff in 2023 — so good vibes could help him break through for his best finish of the year.
Sahith Theegala Top-20 Finish (+180)
Theegala is one of 20 or so players teeing it up this week who did not play at Augusta, so he comes in fresh and perhaps with some extra motivation.
He has two top-5 finishes here, so he knows what it takes to play well at Harbour Town.
After a tough 2025, he’s playing better in 2026, including a T-10 at his last start, the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
