A week after a grueling test at the U.S. Open, players will get a bit of a break at this week’s Travelers Championship.
TPC River Highlands, located just outside Hartford, Connecticut, will host the final PGA Tour signature event of the season.
It is one of the easier courses on Tour, with the winning score coming in at 19-under or better in four of the last six years.
Scottie Scheffler headlines the field and has the best odds to win at +450. Rory McIlroy is taking the week off, but the rest of the Tour’s stars are teeing it up.
Keegan Bradley is the defending champion.
When it comes to metrics, I will be prioritizing the following: Strokes Gained: Approach, Proximity 100-150 yards, Birdie or Better Gained, Double Bogey Avoidance and Strokes Gained: Putting.

Travelers Championship Prediction
Scottie Scheffler is predicted to win the Travelers Championship with a 18.18% implied probability, according to betting markets. Tommy Fleetwood and Xander Schauffele are next at 5.88%.
Implied probability is the overall chance of a potential outcome in relation to the odds.
Travelers Championship Best Bets
Justin Thomas Outright Winner (+2500)
Thomas hasn’t won since the RBC Heritage last year, which was also the week following a major. After back surgery last winter and a late start to the year, Thomas seems to be back in peak form.
He enters the week with six straight top-25 finishes, including three top 15s.
Specific to TPC River Highlands, he has a great track record here, as he’s finished inside the top 10 each of the last three years.
Another connection is Pete Dye. He designed TPC River Highlands, as well as Harbour Town, the site of Thomas’ last win.
Cameron Young Top-10 Finish (+225)
It was a bit surprising to see this price for Young. While he’s struggled a bit of late — no top 25s in his last three starts — he still has gained strokes on approach in 10 straight events.
Young has a solid course history here, including shooting a 59 in 2024. Overall, he has only played this course three times and finished T-9 in 2024.
There will be plenty of birdies made this week, and if Young’s putter heats up, he has the ability to go on a run.
Brian Harman Top-20 Finish (+150)
This will be a popular play given Harman having the best course history in the field at TPC River Highlands. He has finished inside the top 10 five straight years, and has gained the most strokes here in the last five editions of the event.
While it’s been a bit of a disappointment this year, he enters the week gaining strokes in nine of his last 10 starts, including during a T-32 finish at Shinnecock last week.
