The Truist Championship is back at Quail Hollow after the PGA Championship was held at the course just outside of Charlotte last year.
It is a PGA Tour signature event, so most of the star players are in the field. Scottie Scheffler is not, as he prefers not to play the week prior to a major.
Quail Hollow is one of the longer courses on the PGA Tour, but it is also difficult around the greens, so a complete all-around game is needed to contend.
Truist Championship Prediction
Rory McIlroy is expected to win the Truist Championship with a 14.29% implied probability, according to betting markets. Cameron Young is next at 10.53%.

Si Woo Kim Outright Winner (+2000)
Kim is one of the streakiest players on the PGA Tour, and he’s in the midst of one of his hot streaks. He’s finished inside the top five in his last two events, including a T-4 at the Cadillac Championship last week.
Specific to Quail Hollow, he’s had some solid results of late, highlighted by a T-8 at last year’s PGA Championship.
Kim quietly is 20th in the Official World Golf Rankings, but still searching for a big win following his 2017 Players Championship. This could be the week.
Xander Schauffele Top-5 Finish (+220)
While he doesn’t have a win this season, Schauffele is having one of the better years on the PGA Tour.
After a slow start to the year, he has four straight finishes of T-12 or better. He has also faired very well at Quail Hollow, logging two solo finishes in 2023 and 2024.
Schauffele enters well-rested after not playing last week and tends to play his best around this time of year with the PGA Championship next week.
Denny McCarthy Top-20 Finish (+275)
It hasn’t been the greatest year for McCarthy, as he only has one top-20 finish. But, he’s at a place where he’s had a ton of success so that should give him good vibes.
McCarthy has finished T-8 or better three straight years at Quail Hollow.
With a smaller field and no cut, McCarthy is a solid option to find himself inside the top 20 by the end of the week.
