While it is not a PGA Tour signature event, the WM Phoenix Open is still a big week on the PGA Tour.
The tournament, annually played the week of the Super Bowl, is known for rowdy crowds, especially on the par-3 16th hole.
It also draws some of the best players in the game. Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Ben Griffin, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka are among some of the big names teeing it up this week.
Key metrics this week include: Strokes Gained: Approach, Par-4 Scoring, Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, Birdies or Better Gained, Good Drives Gained and Scrambling Gained.

WM Phoenix Open Best Bets
Maverick McNealy Outright Winner +3000
McNealy has won on the PGA Tour before, the 2024 RSM Classic, but he’s still seeking that breakthrough, signature win. The 30-year-old has a ton of talent, and even was in the mix for a Ryder Cup spot last summer, so he’s certainly due.
The California native typically plays his best golf on the West Coast, so why not this week?
McNealy has a few other things going in his favor, including coming off a 10th-place finish at last week’s Farmers Insurance Open and a T-24 in his first event of the season, the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Specific to TPC Scottsdale, he’s finished inside the top 10 each of the last two years (T-6 in 2024 and T-9 last year).
Jordan Spieth Top-20 Finish +175
There are a few courses on the PGA Tour where Spieth seems to always find himself in the mix regardless of his current form, and TPC Scottsdale is one of them.
Spieth has finished T-6 or better in three straight years in this event, and overall, he has five top-10 finishes here in eight appearances.
He opened the year with a solid T-24 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, so he enters with some confidence.
Brooks Koepka Top-20 Finish +200
Koepka is a popular pick to win this week, but this seems like really solid value just to finish inside the top 20.
While he finished T-56 in his return to the PGA Tour last week at the Farmers Insurance Open, it was his putter that held him back. Koepka was 12th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, but lost close to 2.5 strokes on average per round.
One would expect Koepka to correct this ahead of the event, a tournament he’s won twice before.
Koepka certainly could find himself at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday, but this feels safer in his second event back on the PGA Tour.
