It is the lone team event on the PGA Tour schedule, with each pairing playing a best-ball Thursday and alternate shot Friday before the field gets cut to the top 33 teams and ties for the weekend. Saturday will be a best-ball, and Sunday alternate shot.
Going into the event, Alex and Matt Fitzpatrick have the best odds to win at +1100.

Alex Fitzpatrick and Matt Fitzpatrick are expected to win the Zurich Classic with a 8.33% implied probability, according to betting markets. Brooks Koepka and Shane Lowry are next at 5.88%.

Michael Thorbjornsen/Karl Vilips Outright Winner (+1800)
Last year, Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak picked up their first PGA Tour wins here, so why not again this year with Thorbjornsen and Vilips, two strong young players, where one (Thorbjornsen) is seeking his first win, and Vilips has one win (Puerto Rico Open).
Thorbjornsen has four top-25 finishes this year, while Vilips has two. The pair went to Stanford so they have chemistry that some other teams do not have this week.
This is a difficult week to handicap because of the format, but Thorbjornsen and Vilips have as good a chance as any pair.
And it is another reason for a short card this week.
