The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3) will have a big test in Week 12 at the Indianapolis Colts (6-5). NFL betting lines place the Bucs as a slight road favorite for the spread.

How many points can they score against the Colts? But, first, let’s get a closer look at this critical game for both teams.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Super Bowl Favorites?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently favored at +500 to win the Super Bowl. Last week, they won easily at home against the New York Giants, 30-10.

For their over-under record this season, the Bucs are 5-5 overall and 2-3 for the over on the road. (Indianapolis is 3-3 for the over-under/outright at home.)

The Bucs have averaged a league-best 30.9 points per game. Tom Brady is also favored at +240 to win the 2021 MVP.

Tampa Bay has a 2-3 away record, averaging about 23 points per road contest. However, the Colts have given up nearly the same amount per game at home.

The over-under is currently 52.5. These are two of the league’s top offenses, so there should be plenty of scoring. An opening three-point spread shows that this game is also expected to be very close.

The Colts are on a three-game winning streak. In Week 12, they’ll be hosting the defending Super Bowl champions, who have a chance to repeat this season.

Can the Colts’ defense stop Brady?

Buccaneers vs. Colts

This season, Indianapolis is ranked 19th when it comes to yards allowed per contest. (Their rushing defense is ranked 15, while their passing defense is ranked 17th.)

In contrast, Tampa Bay has the NFL’s 26th-ranked rushing offense. But they lead the league in passing yards per game.

After a tough loss at the Washington Football Team in which Brady had two interceptions, he bounced back against the Giants on Monday Night Football. He threw for 307 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

Brady connected with four different receivers for six receptions each. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans both caught touchdown passes.

The Buccaneers led 17-10 at half-time before cruising to victory.

How Many Points Will the Bucs Score Against the Colts?

They are expected to do well offensively against the Colts.

In alternative odds, The odds are -105 for the Bucs to score over 27.5, while the under is -120.

In their last three matchups, the Colts have given up an average of almost 21 points per game. Conversely, the Bucs averaged 25 points in their previous three contests.

The Bucs over 26.5 at -130 isn’t such a bad bet. This is a team that leans on their passing game with Brady at the helm.

Carson Wentz has also been playing mistake-free football for the past three weeks. So, this game could be a shootout. The Colts put up 41 points last week on the road against the Buffalo Bills. RB Jonathan Taylor had four of the team’s five touchdowns.

For the Bucs, over 29.5 offers +120 odds, while over 30.5 is +145.

Can Tampa Bay score more than 30 points against the Colts this week? Absolutely. With Brady, anything is possible.
