Matchday 1 of the Premier League ends on Monday as newcomer Leicester City host Tottenham.
Leicester won the Championship last season after suffering relegation from the top flight in 2022. Now Leicester face a Spurs side which has won four of the last five meetings.
As for Tottenham, they’ll begin their second season under Ange Postecoglou after finishing fifth last season. Last year, they were 6-5 SU as a road favorite.

Leicester City vs. Tottenham Prediction: Team Total Parlay
My prediction for Monday’s match is Tottenham 2H Over 0.5 (-275). To bring the price down, I’ll parlay it with Newcastle Moneyline to get it to -117.
Those who want to be more adventurous can certainly take Spurs 2H goals over 1.5 (+160). Either way, this remains a Tottenham side that excels in the latter half.
Last season, Postecoglou’s side scored 25 first-half goals compared to 49 second-half goals.
The underlying metrics support that breakdown.
Spurs created 29 expected goals in the opening frame compared to 49.65 xG in the second half, per understat.com.
In 38 matches, Tottenham managed a second-half tally 25 times, a 65.8% hit rate.
But Tottenham proved markedly better against the league’s worst teams.
In 16 matches Spurs closed at -110 or higher, they scored a second-half goal in 14 of 16 matches, an 87.5% hit rate.
They’ve also excelled against this prop vs. Leicester City.
In Tottenham’s last five matches against the Foxes, they scored a second-half goal four times.
Conversely, Leicester struggled to keep top teams out in the second half last year.
They played two Premier League teams in Cup matches — Liverpool and Chelsea, both away from home — and allowed a second-half goal in both matches.
