  • The Steelers have $60 million in salary cap space this offseason.
  • As of Feb. 26, only eight teams have more salary cap space than Pittsburgh.
  • This offseason, positional targets include wide receiver and offensive line.

Based on Steelers odds, oddsmakers expect little strength from Pittsburgh.ย

Pittsburgh is currently listed at 80/1 to win Super Bowl 60. The good news for Pittsburgh, which currently doesnโ€™t have a rostered starting quarterback, is thereโ€™s ample cap space.ย

The Steelers have $60 million in salary cap space and $56.9 million in effective salary cap space, per overthecap.com.ย

A number of key free agents could eat up some of that space.ย

One of Russell Wilson or Justin Fields likely commands a new deal while both Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren enter free agency.ย

Steelers Cap Space: Free Agent Position Targets

Quarterback remains an obvious priority for the Steelers after Wilson and Fieldsโ€™ one-year deals expired.ย

Itโ€™s presumed Pittsburgh, which isnโ€™t drafting very high, re-signs at least one of those quarterbacks.

The next priority for the Steelers offense is finding wide receiver help for George Pickens.ย

Four mid-to-fringe wide receivers from last yearโ€™s roster enter free agency this offseason. For all intents and purposes, Pickens, Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin remain in the room.ย

Finally, the offensive line could prove a priority for Pittsburgh. Last year, Pittsburgh ranked 24th in PFFโ€™s pass-blocking grades despite sitting ninth in run-blocking.ย

Steelers Salary Cap Space: Player Targets

Cooper Kupp Trade

Kupp isnโ€™t technically a free agent, but the Rams made it known a trade is on the table for the veteran wide receiver.ย

Beyond Kuppโ€™s outstanding ability to catch passes, heโ€™d fit nicely into a Steelers offense that prioritizes running the ball.ย

Kuppโ€™s blocking ability could fit well into Arthur Smithโ€™s offense and give a reliable target, presumably for Fields or a rookie quarterback.ย

Cam Robinson

Acquiring Robinson could prove an ambitious task for the Steelers. That said, the glaring weakness of their offensive line is left tackle.ย

Neither Steelers tackle proved particularly exceptional last year.ย

Dan Moore Jr., a free agent this offseason, finished the year with a 67.2 offensive grade. Broderick Jones, who spent time at right tackle, finished at 58.7.ย

While Robinson struggled to establish himself as a top-tier tackle, the potential still exists with the former Viking.ย

Before last season, Robinson finished three straight seasons with a pass-blocking grade north of 70. As a result, he could help a weak Pittsburgh offensive line.
