- Tottenham is predicted to be a 0.5-goal home favorite against West Ham.
- 'Second Half Over 0.5 Goals' has hit in each of West Ham's last 23 EPL matches as an underdog.
- My Tottenham vs West Ham prediction is the Tottenham Moneyline (-145).
Two struggling clubs meet at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Spurs hosting West Ham.Â
Tottenham fell 3-2 at Bournemouth last weekend, despite taking a 1-0 lead inside of five minutes. Antoine Semenyo’s stoppage-time winner left Tottenham 14th in the table.Â
West Ham, meanwhile, fell 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest. Currently, the Hammers occupy the first spot in the relegation zone, seven points from safety.Â

West Ham vs Tottenham: Prediction
Based on West Ham’s poor defensive record and Tottenham’s encouraging attacking metrics at Bournemouth, my Tottenham vs West Ham prediction is the Tottenham Moneyline (-145).Â
I left Tottenham’s fixture at Bournemouth rather encouraged. Against a poor defense, Tottenham generated 1.8 post-shot expected goals.Â
That marked the first time the team cleared 1.5 in a league fixture since Dec. 6. Additionally, underlying metrics suggested Tottenham ran unlucky in defeat, winning 1.8-1.4 on psxG.Â
Matchday 21 also proved a rare Tottenham failure when taking a lead. Prior to that defeat, Tottenham posted a 7-1-1 (W-D-L) record when scoring the first goal.Â
The failures came against two complete luckboxes: Sunderland and Aston Villa.Â
By post-shot expected goals allowed, two EPL sides stand alone in abject incompetence: West Ham and Burnley.Â
On Matchday 1, Tottenham took an early 1-0 lead against Burnley and went on to win 3-0.Â
At West Ham, Tottenham took a touch longer to score, but used three second-half tallies to win 3-0.Â
Evaluating the Tottenham defense presents a trickier process. However, the defense has performed better with both Micky van de Ven and Christian Romero available.Â
West Ham has only scored first three times away from home. The successes – Brighton, Bournemouth and Forest – all have worse defenses for the season by psxG.Â
This season, West Ham recorded only eight points from losing positions. Additionally, the Hammers earned points only three times when allowing multiple goals.Â
Those successes came against Burnley, Bournemouth and Brighton. All three place behind Tottenham in defensive metrics.
Given those tendencies, I predict Tottenham take all three points at home.Â
