NFL Week 13

I believe that Week 13 in the NFL is sure to have some significant upsets. No teams in the NFL are a lock to win each week. The slogan “any given Sunday” holds true this year, with only one team having fewer than three losses.

For this reason, fans are flocking to the NFL betting odds to look for potential upsets. There are many excellent divisional and conference matchups in Week 13 for bettors.

Read on for a guide to pro football underdog lines in Week 13, where I’ll explore three underdog teams that have a shot at winning outright this week.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks (+3.5)

The Seahawks are 3.5-point home underdogs against their divisional rival. There is no doubt that Pete Carroll and the Seahawks have struggled this year. They are 3-8 and in last place in the NFC West.

The 49ers are entering Week 13 with a three-game winning streak. They are currently the sixth seed in the NFC playoff standings.

However, they are just 6-5 this year, with one of their losses coming at home against this Seahawks team. Over the last decade, the 49ers have just one win at Seattle. In addition, the 49ers traditionally struggle with Seattle’s 12th man, making the Seahawks an appealing underdog in Week 13.

New England Patriots (+2.5) at Buffalo Bills

The Patriots are 2.5-point road underdogs in Week 3. While the Bills hold the advantage playing in Buffalo, the Patriots are the hottest team in the NFL.

The Patriots are winners of six straight games and are currently in first place in the AFC East. They have won seven of their last eight games, with their lone loss coming in overtime against the Dallas Cowboys.

On the other hand, Buffalo has been playing average football the past month. They are 2-2 in their last four games, with a stunning loss to the Jaguars and a blowout defeat against the Colts.

The Patriots allow the third-fewest passing yards per game (200.9). I expect their defense to have similar results against Buffalo, making New England a tempting underdog pick.

Washington Football Team (+2.5) at Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are coming off a convincing win against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. As a result, they are 2.5-point favorites at home against the Washington Football Team (WFT).

Nonetheless, I like WFT this week against an uneven Raiders’ squad. The Raiders have been somewhat inconsistent this season. After starting the season with three straight wins, the Raiders’ season began to spiral. They are 3-5 since and even lost to WFT’s divisional rival, the New York Giants. Offensively, they scored 34 points against the Broncos and 33 against the Eagles before losing their next three games, scoring an average of 14 points in those contests. Then, last week, they scored 33 points against a Cowboys’ team that only allows an average of 22.7 points per game.

On the other hand, Washington has won three straight, including one against the defending Super Bowl champions. While WFT is 5-6 on the season, this includes a four-game losing streak against several teams competing for playoff spots. In addition, Washington has the fourth-best rushing defense in the NFL (92.6 yards per game), and I believe that Antonio Gibson can run for 100 yards or more against the Raiders’ 24th ranked rushing defense.

Pro Football Underdog Lines for Week 13

There are quite a few pro football underdog lines to like in Week 13, especially in divisional games where pre-game favorites where underdogs tend to perform well.

The Seahawks and Patriots are two underdogs that look particularly attractive, in my opinion. The Washington line is interesting to me, but I’m not as sold on them as the other two teams.
