Now that we’re approaching Week 5 in the NFL, divisional races are starting to take shape. The Raiders are in a three-way tie for first place in the AFC West, while the Bears look to get something going in the NFC North. These two teams both have a lot at stake when they meet this week in Las Vegas.
Henry Ruggs and the Raiders boast one of the most productive offenses in the league this year, while the Bears are struggling to get much going. As a result, NFL betting odds have the Raiders as 5.5-point favorites.
Let’s dive into how the two teams match up in Week 5.
Bears vs. Raiders
The Bears are sitting at a mediocre 2-2 this season. On the other hand, the Raiders are 3-1 but have some questions to answer after Monday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
A big reason for the Bears’ problems this season is the injury to starting quarterback Andy Dalton. They’ve had to rely on rookie Justin Fields for the past two games with mixed results. Despite all that, the Bears are coming off a critical win against the Detroit Lions in Week 4.
In that win, the Bears were able to jump out to a 21-0 lead, but the offense sputtered a little on their way to the finish line. Despite that fact, Bears fans and staff feel that Fields showed signs of improvement from his first start.
Henry Ruggs III And the Raiders Offense
The Raiders will have to do more of what they’ve been doing to beat the Bears. The Raiders have stuck to a pass-heavy offense plan so far this year. But, as the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
The Raiders are averaging 26 points per game, and 8 out of their 11 total touchdowns have come through the air. The team has 170 pass attempts compared to 99 rushes.
Henry Ruggs has been a big part of that recipe for success. Ruggs has caught 14 receptions for 297 yards through four games so far, making him the team’s leader in receiving yards.
Although Ruggs only has one touchdown this season, look for him to remain a potent part of the Raiders game plan in Week 5. With Derek Carr averaging 45 pass attempts per game, look for more than a few of those balls to be thrown Ruggs’ way.
I think Henry Ruggs III should have a good game against the Bears. I believe he’ll catch at least four passes and have at least one touchdown this week.

Jon Gruden and his Raiders are putting together a solid season in Las Vegas. If they can keep this up, who knows? They may be looking at a possible Super Bowl berth.
