NFL Betting Week 12

Week 12 is upon us in the NFL, and after the Thanksgiving holiday concludes, the week will end with another Monday Night Football game.

This week, the Seattle Seahawks go on the road to face the Washington Football Team. At the time of writing, BetMGM’s NFL betting lines currently have Washington as a one-point favorite. Will Washington cover that spread? Is there a better bet on the board for that game?

These are some of my best Monday Night Football bets for this week.

Under 46.5 Points

Any game with the Seattle Seahawks in it this year immediately has me drawn to an under bet. I say this because eight of the Seahawks’ games have ended up going under the point total this season.

It does not look like things will be much different here, considering these two teams average 40 points per game combined.

Washington Money Line (-110)

I am skipping the spread and going straight to the money line here, considering the two currently have the same odds on Washington’s side.

Washington has won their last two games while Seattle is 0-2 since the return of Russell Wilson. I do not think he is himself and has yet to throw a touchdown pass since his return.

Another reason I like Washington here is because the Seahawks seem to struggle running the ball, especially since losing Chris Carson for the season with a neck injury.

On the season, Seattle ranks 23rd in the NFL with 98.4 rushing yards per game. However, they are up against the sixth-best rushing defense in Washington. If Washington can take away the run and force what might not be a 100% healthy Wilson to win the game through the air, it could spell victory for them.

Washington Wins By 1-6 Points (+310)

Seattle’s offense may not score many points, but that does not mean I expect Washington to blow them out. On the contrary, I think there is real value in betting on a close game, considering Washington’s track record this season.

In Washington’s wins this season, they have won by a combined total of 21 points. That averages out to just over five points per win, and only one of those was by more than six points.

WFT isn’t an explosive team, so I think Seattle can keep this a close enough game where this margin of victory bet might be worth considering.

Neither Team Scores 20+ Points (+550)

This wager is my longshot on the board here, but I think this one is worth a look considering my stat above about both teams averaging 20 points each per game between them.

Do I feel very confident? Unfortunately, no. However, I think this bet offers the most value.

Russell Wilson hasn’t shown he can lead the Seahawks into the endzone, and I think Taylor Heinicke will regress.

In four games this season, Washington scored less than 20 points. So to me, this game feels like another low-scoring affair between two mediocre teams.
