Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium is shaping up to be a high-scoring affair between two teams with explosive offenses. Current Super Bowl odds have the Los Angeles Rams as 4.5 point favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Cincinnati Bengals Offense
The Bengals and Rams finished the regular season tied for 7th in points per game (27.1).
The Bengals offense is facing the 22nd ranked passing defense in the NFL. The issue for Joe Burrow will be the Rams pass rush. Los Angeles was 3rd in sacks and interceptions this season. Burrow will need to make quick reads and get rid of the ball before the pocket collapses.
But Joe Burrow has plenty of targets, including rookie sensation Ja’Marr Chase. He is the only receiver besides Randy Moss to have more than twelve touchdown catches in his rookie season.
If the Rams focus on Chase, Burrow also has Tee Higgins, who finished the season with 74 catches for 1091 yards and six touchdowns. Tyler Boyd is another strong option for Burrow. Boyd had 67 catches for 828 yards and five TDs, and TE C.J. Uzomah had 49 catches for 493 yards and five TDs.
The Bengals also have a strong running game. Joe Mixon ran for 1205 yards rushing and 13 TDs. He also added 42 catches for 314 yards and three touchdowns. Every one of those receivers has a 50+ yard catch this season.
Cincinnati Bengals Score Predictions
In three playoff games so far, the Bengals are averaging 24 points. Thanks in part to Mixon’s running, the Bengals have a significant edge in time of possession. Cincinnati was 13th in time of possession (30:34) compared to the Rams at 25th (28:59).
The Rams allowed the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game, so the Bengals may have a difficult time controlling the clock in this matchup.
Burrow took 52 sacks this season and nine against the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round win.
If Burrow and the offense don’t turn the ball over, they should match their season average with ease. The over of 48.5 is one of my favored NFL bets for Super Bowl LVI.
One more weapon worth mentioning is kicker Evan McPherson. The rookie is 12-12 in field goals for the playoffs with two walk-off game-winners.
