Super Bowl 56 has arrived, with this year’s game featuring the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams.

BetMGM’s Super Bowl odds have the Rams as favorites to take home the Lombardi Trophy.

This article will give you a quick review of the current spreads, totals, and money lines for Super Bowl 56.

Super Bowl 56 Game Information

Before we dive into all of the odds for the Super Bowl, here is some basic game information that you should know about this year’s match-up.

  • Date: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022
  • Time: 6:30 P.M. EST
  • Venue: SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA

Spread: Rams -4.5 (-110)

Currently, the Rams are a 4.5 point favorite to win the Super Bowl, which happens to be played in their home stadium this year.

However, the Bengals are not new to being underdogs in the playoffs. They are underdogs for their third consecutive playoff game.

I think turnovers will determine this game. Rams QB Matthew Stafford has only thrown one interception during the playoffs but threw 17 during the regular season. The Rams also nearly lost in the divisional round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because they fumbled four times. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has a turnover ratio of +5.

I believe that the Bengals have a chance to cover if they can force turnovers.

Money Line (Rams -200, Bengals +165)

If you want better odds on the underdog, the money line might be worth a closer look. Choosing the Bengals with a 4-point spread only offers -110 odds, while picking them to win outright offers +165.

The Bengals have a good turnover margin in the playoffs, and their rushing defense was also the fifth-best in the NFL in the regular season. The Rams only averaged 99 rushing yards per game this season, so I don’t see Los Angeles running the ball effectively.

The Rams also have an issue with stopping the pass. They were 22nd in passing yards allowed per game during the regular season. Meanwhile, the Bengals averaged the seventh-most passing yards per game (259). If you feel like the Bengals can pull off the upset for those reasons, the money line may be a tempting bet for you.

Total (48.5)

The Bengals and Rams averaged over 54 points combined per game this season while giving up 44 points.

Both teams are in the top six for rushing defenses and the bottom ten for rushing offenses. The Rams also averaged the fifth-most passing yards in the regular season, while the Bengals had the seventh-most passing yards per game.

I can see this game going over as I believe that both teams will rely on their passing attack.
