His best games as a passer have come against non-conference opponents in the first three games of the season. Just focusing on those games, he averaged 332 passing yards and three TD passes per game.

This bodes well for Corral as he gets ready to face another non-conference opponent in Liberty. Still, the Flames will arguably be the most formidable team they have met outside of their conference this season.

Two of his toughest games came against Alabama and LSU, who held him to his two lowest passing yard totals of the season, and they only gave up one touchdown pass each. In addition, both teams limited Corral’s running, as he only ran for 27 yards combined in those two games. He usually averages 68 per game.

Comparing Liberty’s Defense

Another thing you have to note is how Liberty’s defense stacks up to other opponents that Ole miss has played.

If you take a look at the total defense rankings in the NCAA, you will see that Liberty is among the best defenses statistically that Ole Miss has faced. Liberty matches up, statistically, with Alabama.

Of course, the strength of schedule comes into play because while the stats back Liberty, Syracuse is the only team in a Power-5 conference that they have played, and they lost to them 24-21.

For reference, Syracuse ranks around the middle of the pack in total offense, while Ole Miss is a top-five team in the nation in that category.

How Many Touchdown Passes Will Corral Throw?
