Week 10 NFL betting lines feature a divisional game between two teams who slipped last week. With the season into the second half, the Rams at 49ers game will have enormous playoff implications.

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams lost a step in the NFC West lead, losing to Tennessee. And Jimmy Garoppolo couldn’t lead his San Francisco 49ers to a win over the division leader.

Both squads are looking for redemption in Week 10. So check out the best bets for the Rams vs. 49ers.

The Big Losses

When Derrick Henry went down in Week 9, many bettors thought the road had ended for Tennessee. Instead, many expected the Los Angeles Rams defense to pin their ears back and have their way with Ryan Tannehill.

Well, the defense did their part, but it was the Rams’ offense that let this game get out of hand. The Rams’ defense held Tannehill to 143 yards and 194 yards total of offense.

But Matthew Stafford threw two interceptions in the first half. And by halftime, Tennessee had scored 21 unanswered points. The Rams were also guilty of 12 penalties in this game, a career-high for Sean McVay.

The story in San Francisco was quite the opposite. Arizona came in with backup quarterback Colt McCoy and built a 14 point lead in the first quarter. However, Jimmy Garoppolo still had a decent game going 28-40 for 326 yards and 2 TDs.

Yet, the San Francisco 49ers’ defense had no answer for slowing down the Cardinals. Arizona still managed 274 yards in the air without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins.

Rams vs. 49ers

Despite last week’s setback, the Los Angeles Rams are 3rd in passing yards 5th in total yards per game. Matthew Stafford still owns a 111.0 QB rating with 23 touchdown passes. Cooper Kupp already has 74 catches, which puts him on pace to have a monster season.

The defense leads the NFL in sacks with 28, and they are 4th against the pass. He may need another week to get healthier, but Von Miller could become a factor in the stretch. So with a 7-2 record, the Los Angeles Rams are still a wild card favorite.

The San Francisco 49ers are having consistency issues in every aspect of the game. After losing four in a row, they beat the Bears in Chicago and came home to lose last week. Even so, several players are trending up for the 49ers after losing to the Cardinals.

San Francisco has the 4th ranked pass defense, but against the run, they are near the bottom of the NFL. Darrell Henderson Jr. is not a featured part of the Rams offense. But against the 49ers, he could play a more significant role.

The over/under is 49.5, but I think that’s way too high for these teams. In their two meetings last season, the Rams and 49ers totaled 40 and 43 points. So I will bet the under their Week 10 meeting.

Rams at 49ers (+5)

Both these teams are reeling from tough losses in Week 9, but only one of them is still in the hunt. Jimmy Garoppolo is playing as well as expected and still coming up short. Yet Matthew Stafford has to come back from a bad week.

Divisional games in the NFC West haven’t proven to be close affairs this year. So for the Rams at 49ers, I’m taking Los Angeles minus five points. If you disagree, make your play by opening an account at BetMGM’s sports betting site today. You can place bets on all of this season’s NFL action.
