Top 3 Bets for the Rams at Packers in Week 12

In Week 12, the Los Angeles Rams (7-3) will face the Green Bay Packers (8-3) for a late-afternoon game at Lambeau Field. This game is a crucial matchup for the NFC playoff picture.

Given the current NFL betting lines, I expect a close but high-scoring game.

The Los Angeles Rams went into their bye week after a stunning loss against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 10. Matthew Stafford threw two interceptions during a 31-10 defeat.

The 49ers had nearly double the time of possession throughout the game. That performance helped them rise in the NFC playoff picture.

Now, the Rams will have to face the number-two seed. The Packers fell one spot after losing to the Minnesota Vikings last week, 34-31. Aaron Rodgers threw for 385 yards with four touchdown passes.

However, the Vikings kept the Packers below 100 rushing yards. I thought it was an even game except for the 92 yards the Packers had in penalties.

Still, the Packers are one-point favorites at home this week. They are 9-2 ATS this season. So, that might be a great bet to get started.

I like the Packers at home, especially after a loss (2-0 ATS/straight-up).

Green Bay Money Line -110

In my opinion, the home team receives the best odds. A -110 money line offers plenty of value, and I think the Packers can get it done against a Rams team that has lost two straight.

Odell Beckham Jr. still needs time to adjust to the Rams on offense, and I’m not sure Beckham Jr. and Stafford can establish a level of comfort by Sunday’s kickoff.

For my money, the combination of Rodgers and Davante Adams is a much safer bet. Adams caught seven balls last week for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite their midseason acquisitions, the Rams look to me like they’re struggling to find their form. So, I wouldn’t feel safe putting any money on them at the moment. They need to show they can win big games.

Their last three victories were against the New York Giants, Detroit Lions, and the Houston Texans. That’s not saying very much.

The Packers are a much better football team right now.

What About the Over-Under?

The current over-under for the Rams vs. Packers is 47.5. The Rams are 5-4-1 for the over, while the Packers are 3-8.

I think both teams are capable of scoring at least 24 points. So, that would put their point total just past the over, and I’d place a small wager on that.

That puts a lot of pressure on both teams to win this week. I’ll be looking for a high-scoring game since the Packers put up 31 points last week and still lost.

The Rams are due for an explosive game. This matchup should be a fun one to watch on Sunday afternoon.
