It’s Week 9 in the NFL, and there are some money line wagers with decent value for bettors. Money lines are a great option if you’re unsure of the point spread or over-under total for certain games.
To get the most out of NFL betting odds, you should know the best money lines for the week.
Let’s see which games offer the most value for the money line.
Browns vs. Bengals (-150)
The Cleveland Browns will take on the Cincinnati Bengals this week. The Bengals suffered a humiliating defeat in Week 8, losing to the New York Jets, 34-31.
The Jets scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, earning backup quarterback Mike White his first win in the NFL. (It was also White’s first start.)
Against the Bengals, White threw for over 400 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. The Bengals gave up 32 first downs and only converted 18 of their own.
The Browns will look to capitalize on the Bengals’ defensive woes after such a weak performance. They’ve had their own trouble with quarterback Baker Mayfield recovering from a left shoulder injury.
Although Mayfield said he felt comfortable, he only threw for a little over 200 yards without a touchdown pass in a 15-10 loss to the Steelers last week. The Bengals were a slight favorite in that matchup.
So, this week, the Browns are the underdogs. Don’t wait on this one. Bettors might jump on it early, lowering the value quite a bit.
Chargers vs. Eagles (+105)
There’s some worthwhile value in the money line when the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Philadelphia Eagles this week.
Last week, the Eagles looked spectacular, at least in their running game, against the worst team in the NFL, the winless Detroit Lions.
Still, it was a must-win for Philadelphia. Facing the Chargers at home is another must-win if the Eagles want to have any shot at making the playoffs.
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert struggled a bit against the New England Patriots, losing 27-24. A week before, the Chargers nearly got shut out by the Baltimore Ravens, 34-6.
The Eagles need to take advantage of the moment. Last week, they finally started running the ball, even without starter Miles Sanders. Boston Scott and Jordan Howard each carried the ball 12 times on Sunday, for a total of 117 yards and four touchdowns.
The Eagles should keep to that success against the Chargers, which is why I like them the most among NFL money lines. It’ll be a critical game for Philadelphia at home.
Packers vs. Chiefs (-115)
Right now, the Green Bay Packers are the top seed in the NFC. They’ll face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9.
The Packers handed the Arizona Cardinals their first loss last Thursday night, 24-21. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are at risk of not making the playoffs if they can’t turn their season around.
I think the Packers opening at -105 offers plenty of value for bettors. It’ll be a challenging game to win, but I think Aaron Rodgers is capable of getting it done.
