The Top NFL Picks and Parlays for Week 9

Week 9 NFL

If you took the underdog in Week 8 with your NFL bets, there’s a good chance you had a pretty lucrative weekend. Eight Week 8 underdogs pulled off an upset.

You always have a chance with Aaron Rodgers, but who could’ve guessed Jets backup QB Mike White’s magnificent play versus the Bengals?

And who could have predicted backup Saints QB Trevor Siemian would outplay the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady?

NFL Week 9 is sure to bring more drama, so let’s take a look at some of the best NFL picks and parlays available.

Denver Broncos at Dallas Cowboys (-10)

The Dallas Cowboys have been excellent this year, but there was plenty of uncertainty heading into Sunday night’s game with star quarterback Dak Prescott questionable with a calf injury.

After the pregame workout, the Cowboys decided to sit Prescott and give the reigns to backup QB Cooper Rush. It turned out to be the right decision, as Rush did more than they could have asked for, outdueling counterpart Kirk Cousins on the road while providing Prescott with another week of rest.

This week the Cowboys will head back to Big D to take on a Broncos team that just traded away their best defensive player Von Miller for picks. It was a curious trade, considering the Broncos are coming off of a win and are right in the thick of things in the AFC at 4-4.

Prescott should be back for this one, and the Cowboys should cruise to a victory against a team that will most likely still be reeling from the loss of the heart and soul of their D.

The Broncos have averaged just 16.2 points of offense in their last five games. They don’t have the firepower to compete with the high-flying Cowboys.

Raiders (-3) at Giants, Titans at Rams (-7.5)

These are a couple of intriguing NFL picks this week, and when parlayed, produce odds of +265.

The Raiders have looked great since the departure of former Head Coach Jon Gruden and will be coming off a bye week. Las Vegas has put up 67 points in their last two games (both victories), and the extra week of rest should have gone a long way in getting some of their players healthy, particularly a banged-up Josh Jacobs.

The Giants are a case of the walking wounded, with injuries to critical players Saquon Barkley, Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, and Kenny Golladay. While the Giants are hopeful they’ll have some of their troops back for this game, it will be tough for them to keep up with the rolling Raiders. New York ranks 24th in points for and 23rd in points against this year.

The Titans beat the Colts in overtime, but their Halloween Sunday still turned out to be a nightmare. Reports out of Tennessee are that the Titans have lost the NFL’s leading rusher, Derrick Henry, for the season due to a foot injury.

It’s impossible to overstate how costly this will be to a team that looked to be peaking. Henry is the centerpiece of Tennessee’s offense. The Titans will be a deflated team that will head into Los Angeles to take on a Rams team looking like a Super Bowl contender.

I expect the Rams to pounce on a stunned, one-dimensional Titans team.

What NFL Picks and Parlays Do You Have This Week?

While the above are my top NFL picks and parlays for Week 9, there are plenty of enticing matchups. Of course, it would be surprising if this week features as many upsets as Week 8, but you can rest assured that there will be a few.
