The first fight of the UFC 324 card on Jan. 24 will feature the welterweight clash between Adam Fugitt and Ty Miller, as they open the event inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Due to his immaculate pro record, Miller will be the considerable betting favorite with -450 UFC odds, while Fugitt is going to be the betting underdog with +340 odds.

UFC 324: Adam Fugitt vs. Ty Miller: Prediction

My prediction is a unanimous decision win for Fugitt over Miller in this welterweight battle, as Fugitt is the better grappler and can frustrate the undefeated contender. Miller has shown difficulties against grappling-heavy opponents.

When matched with grappler, Miller tends to gas out and is unable to fully get back on his feet after being taken down on the mat. One of the major reasons for this is his inexperience because he has fewer than 10 pro fights.

If Fugitt successfully employs this fight plan, he’ll be able to secure multiple takedowns, throw ground-and-pound strikes, and work his way to multiple submission maneuvers. But the durability and youth of Miller will let him see the full three rounds of the bout and survive the grappling attacks from Fugitt.

Adam Fugitt’s Recent Fight Results

Fugitt was a former X-1 champion and was signed by the UFC in July 2022. He competed in five fights inside the octagon and recorded two wins against Yusaku Kinoshita and Josh Quinlan, but dropped the other three to Michael Morales, Mike Malott, and Islam Dulatov.

Ty Miller’s Recent Fight Results

Miller is a young prospect who secured a roster spot through Dana White’s Contender Series in August, where he scored a unanimous decision win over Jimmy Drago. Before joining DWCS, Miller competed in CFFC, FightWorld, and LFA.
