Veteran UFC middleweight contender Cody Brundage will test the streaking Cam Rowston in a middleweight clash on Jan. 31 as part of the UFC 325 card at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

After an impressive octagon debut, where he scored a knockout victory, Rowston heads into the match as the betting favorite with -300 UFC odds. On the other hand, Brundage is going to be the betting underdog with +240 odds.

UFC 325: Cam Rowston vs. Cody Brundage: Prediction

I predict a submission victory for Rowston over Brundage, as his grappling and submission skills are superior, and he has the physical advantage to set up a variety of submission techniques. After all, almost half of his victories are via submissions.

Brundage has a solid wrestling background, but he packs power in his punches that can put the lights out against his opponents, which is why Rowston needs to resort to his jiu-jitsu skills to neutralize Brundage’s power.

If not for his grappling skills, Rowston could also choose to counter Brundage when he moves forward with his offense because he needs to cover more distance to land his punches, much like he did against Andre Petroski in his previous fight.

Cam Rowston’s Recent Fight Results

Rowston’s route to the UFC was through Dana White’s Contender Series, where he needed two stints to earn a roster spot. He defeated Brandon Holmes in the competition and TKO’ed Petroski in his octagon debut in September.

Cory Brundage’s Recent Fight Results

Brundage has been with the UFC since 2021 and has experienced an up-and-down result under the promotion. In his last five fights, he scored only one victory over Julian Marquez, lost to Bo Nickal and Eric McConico, had a no-contest with Abdul Razak Alhassan, and drew with Mansur Abdul-Malik.
