I predict a unanimous decision win for Rodrigues over Ferreira since he’s now a much more calculated striker. I think he’ll mix his offense this time with several takedown attempts to make Ferreira defend them to potentially drain significant energy out of him.
In their first meeting, Rodrigues was caught by a solid counterpunch and has learned from that since he puts his hands up after every striking exchange. Additionally, he produces more combinations and overwhelms his opponents with the sheer volume of punches and kicks.
If Rodrigues stays disciplined with his defense and avoids the power punches of Ferreira, I think he’ll eventually put him down and operate on the mat. He can potentially rain down ground-and-pound strikes or threaten with various submission techniques.
