UFC 326: Holloway vs. Oliveira 2: Prediction
My prediction is a submission victory for Oliveira over Holloway, since his grappling and jiu-jitsu skills are far superior, and it’s the best way to beat an elite striker like Holloway. Taking the fight on the ground against better strikers than him has been the weapon of choice for Oliveira.
Although Holloway has over 80% takedown defense, I think Oliveira can still take him down. Do Bronx has learned his lesson in his championship fight with Ilia Topuira that he won’t engage in a striking battle and use his submission skills instead, as we’ve seen in his win over Mateusz Gamrot.
Meanwhile, expect Holloway to try to overwhelm Oliveira with his signature combinations, but during these exchanges, Oliveira will take the match to the mat and work his way into a submission.
