My prediction is a submission victory for Montes over Turcios because he’s the more sophisticated and disciplined striker, and the better grappler. He holds a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, and I think he’ll be able to use it against Turcios once he gets a hold of him.
Although Turcios has an unusual striking style that makes him unpredictable, the forward-pressure and elite grappling of Montes will still prevail, especially if Turcios commits a mistake and overextends in their stand-up exchanges.
