The highly anticipated match between former Bellator standouts Patricio Pitbull and Aaron Pico will finally happen Saturday at UFC 327 in a featherweight contest inside Kaseya Center in Miami.

Despite losing his octagon debut via knockout, Pico still heads into the match as the betting favorite with -285 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Pitbull, who’s fresh off his first UFC win, is going to be the +225 betting underdog.

UFC 327: Patricio Pitbull vs. Aaron Pico: Prediction

I predict a unanimous decision win for Pico over Pitbull because of the sheer work rate and production that the latter produces compared to the former. Pico was fighting well in his UFC debut before he got caught with that beautiful spinning elbow, which knocked him out.

Pitbull fights a lower pace and is very measured in his approach. He often waits for the perfect counterpunch or a level-change before he decides to pull the trigger or go for a takedown. With the well-rounded skills of Pico, I think Pitbull will be forced to compete in a striking battle with Pico.

With Pico’s production and overwhelming pressure, highlighted by sharp boxing skills, I think he’ll be able to connect multiple damaging strikes on Pitbull. However, with the veteran wits and experience of Pitbull, he’ll survive and go full three rounds against Pico.

Patricio Pitbull’s Recent Fight Results

Pitbull was a former Bellator champion before the UFC signed him last year. He has split his first two assignments inside the octagon with a win over Dan Ige and a loss to Yair Rodriguez. He hopes to crack a spot in the top 15 rankings with a victory over Pico.

Aaron Pico’s Recent Fight Results

Pico was also a former Bellator standout, who secured a roster spot in the promotion last year. However, he received a rude welcome to the UFC, as Lerone Murphy defeated him with a devastating spinning backfist knockout in the opening round.
