UFC 328: Clayton Carpenter vs. Jose Ochoa: Prediction

With the incredible Brazilian jiu-jitsu background of Carpenter, I predict a unanimous decision for him over Ochoa. The threat of Ochoa’s power and one-punch knockout ability will force Carpenter to come up with a grappling-heavy fight plan.

Carpenter also has decent striking skills, but Ochoa has more pop in his strikes, which is why I think the American contender will fully utilize his grappling skills to neutralize the danger of Ochoa’s punches and kicks.

Clayton Carpenter’s Recent Fight Results

Carpenter was an undefeated prospect when he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023 and unanimously beat Juancamilo Ronderos to earn a UFC contract. Since then, he recorded two wins (Juancamilo Ronderos and Lucas Rocha) and two losses (Tagir Ulanbekov and Jafel Filho) inside the octagon.

Jose Ochoa’s Recent Fight Results

Ochoa was also an undefeated contender when the UFC signed him in 2024. However, he has only won one out of three fights under the promotion. Ochoa’s win was against Cody Durden, while his two losses were courtesy of Lone’er Kavanagh and Asu Almabayev.
