UFC legend Jim Miller returns to action Saturday at UFC 328, as he faces Jared Gordon in a lightweight match inside Prudential Center in Newark.
Both fighters are fresh off losses, but Gordon heads into the match as the betting favorite with -300 UFC odds, while Miller is going to be the +240 betting underdog.

UFC 328: Jim Miller vs. Jared Gordon: Prediction
My prediction is a unanimous decision win for Miller over Gordon, as he has the edge in terms of stylistic matchup. Miller is an elite grappler who likes to take the fight on the ground to maximize his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, while Gordon is more of a striker.
Gordon has struggled to defend takedowns in his recent bouts, and I’m not sure whether the injury to his right knee is a major factor. But he has the experience to defend submissions and has the ability to pop back to his feet.
At 42, Miller is still a solid fighter, even though Father Time has caught up with him already. With his grappling game, he is still able to compete at a high level because he minimizes the damage he takes from opponents and controls them for most of a fight.
Jim Miller’s Recent Fight Results
Miller has been with the UFC since 2008 and has become a legend in the promotion, holding the record for the most fights in history. He recorded three wins and two losses in his last five bouts, with victories over Jesse Butler, Gabriel Benitez, and Damon Jackson, while his losses were courtesy of King Green and Chase Hooper.
Jared Gordon’s Recent Fight Results
Gordon was a former CFFC titleholder before the UFC signed him in 2017. However, he has only racked up two wins (Mark Madsen and Thiago Moises), two losses (Nasrat Haqparast and Rafa Garcia), and one no-contest (Green).
