The matchup between battle-tested UFC veterans will be witnessed on Saturday at UFC 328, as King Green is scheduled to face Jeremy Stephens in a lightweight bout at Prudential Center in Newark.

Due to his two-fight win streak, Green enters the contest as the betting favorite with -385 UFC odds, while Stephens, who just returned to the promotion after three years of fighting outside the promotion, will be the +300 betting underdog.

UFC 328: King Green vs. Jeremy Stephens: Prediction

With the speed advantage on his side, I predict a unanimous decision win for Green over Stephens. Both may be in the sunset of their careers, but Green has been very active competing inside the octagon against younger contenders.

Green’s head movement and defensive instincts are still pretty much on point. Meanwhile, judging from his previous octagon fight, Stephens has lost a step, especially in striking exchanges, where he received more damage.

The only thing Green should be wary of is Stephens’ power that he still possesses in his hands. Stephens has carried this power from his days as a featherweight contender and used it to finish opponents.

King Green’s Recent Fight Results

Green has been with the promotion since 2013. In his last five outings in the UFC, he racked up three wins against Jim Miller, Lance Gibson Jr., and Daniel Zellhuber, while his losses were at the hands of Paddy Pimblett and Mauricio Ruffy.

Jeremy Stephens’ Recent Fight Results

Stephens is another UFC veteran who first competed inside the octagon in 2007. But he hasn’t won a match in the promotion since 2018. He’s on a six-fight losing streak, with defeats to Jose Aldo, Zabit Magomedsharipov, Yair Rodriguez, Calvin Kattar, Mateusz Gamrot, and Mason Jones.
