UFC 328: Pat Sabatini vs. William Gomis: Prediction
Sabatini’s solid Brazilian jiu-jitsu background is why I predict a unanimous decision win for him over Gomis. Sabatini likes to take his opponents down, control them, and inflict damage on the ground.
Apart from the threat of ground-and-pound strikes from the guard, Sabatini also has the option to attempt several submission techniques. With him being the shorter fighter, Sabatini might need to cover more distance to secure a takedown against Gomis.
Gomis, on the other hand, is a very skilled striker with quick reflexes. His kicks are very tricky, and Sabatini should be wary. But Sabatini can use Gomis’ kicks to his advantage by catching them and transitioning into a takedown.
Pat Sabatini’s Recent Fight Results
Sabatini was a former Cage Fury Fighting champion before he was signed by the UFC in 2021. In his last five matches, he scored four wins (Lucas Almeida, Jonathan Pearce, Joanderson Brito, and Chepe Mariscal) and dropped only one (Diego Lopes).
