UFC 329: Cory Sandhagen vs. Mario Bautista 2: Prediction
A repeat victory for Sandhagen over Bautista is my prediction, but this time, it’s going to be a TKO/KO finish. During their first meeting six years ago, Sandhagen submitted Bautista by reversing the position and winning the scrambles.
Fast forward today, both have become perennial contenders in the weight class, but Sandhagen has fought several of the top fighters in the division. This experience gives him a significant edge, especially performing at a much bigger stage.
Sadhagen effectively uses his full length to inflict damage against his opponents and he thrives fighting shorter opponents like Bautista because he can comfortably fire his strikes and avoid sharp counters. Additionally, he has a great feint game and I believe he’ll make Bautista bite into these feints before landing the knockout blow.

Bautista is also a UFC veteran who has been with the promotion since 2019. He’s a surging contender in the 135-pound weight class with four wins in his last five bouts. His wins were against Ricky Simon, Jose Aldo, Patchy Mix and Vinicius Oliveira, while his defeat was at the hands of Nurmagomedov.
