Olympic wrestling gold medalist Gable Steveson will make his long-awaited UFC debut at UFC 329 on Saturday against Elisha Ellison in a heavyweight match at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
With his undefeated pro MMA record and solid credentials as an amateur wrestler, Steveson heads into the match as the heavy betting favorite with -2500 UFC odds, while Ellison, who dropped his octagon debut, will be the overwhelming betting underdog at +1100 odds.

UFC 329: Gable Steveson vs. Elisha Ellison: Prediction
My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Steveson over Ellison, as he’s the more well-rounded fighter. Steveson weaponizes his wrestling in his fighting style, which makes his striking underrated, and opponents are only guarding his takedowns.
With Jon Jones as one of his mentors, Steveson molds his fighting style to him, and the similarities are evident. When not shooting for takedowns, Steveson fires quick but powerful punches and rapid kicks.
But I still expect him to use his wrestling background to beat Ellison, especially since Ellison was defeated by TKO in his UFC debut and ground-and-pound strikes were Brando Pericic’s choice of weapon to secure a win over him.
Gable Steveson’s Recent Fight Results
Steveson was a decorated wrestler before he transitioned to pro MMA last year. He won his first three pro fights via first-round stoppages, defeating Braden Peterson, Kevin Hein, and, most recently, Hugo Lezama.
Elisha Ellison’s Recent Fight Results
Ellison was a former standout in the regional MMA scene before the UFC took notice and signed him last year. In his first bout under the Las Vegas-based promotion, he was pitted against Pericic and absorbed a first-round stoppage defeat in September.
