Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will make his light heavyweight debut at UFC 329, where he’ll face ranked contender Nikita Krylov on Saturday inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Even though it’s going to be his 205-pound debut and he’s currently on a two-fight losing streak, Whittaker is going to be the -140 UFC odds, while Krylov, who’s coming off a win in his previous bout, will be the +115 betting underdog.

UFC 329: Robert Whittaker vs. Nikita Krylov: Prediction
With Whittaker’s speed and striking accuracy, I predict a decision win for him over Krylov. The quick one-two punch from Whittaker will be key to inflicting damage on Krylov, whose chin is always exposed when he moves backward.
After years of weight cutting at middleweight, Whittaker can finally focus fully on fight preparation, as he no longer needs to worry about making weight just to fight. His in-and-out movement and ability to scramble in grappling exchanges will be his biggest weapons against Krylov.
My only concern is the weight difference on fight night, as Krylov can put on so much weight after the weigh-ins and might overpower Whittaker with brute strength since it’s his first bout in the division. But still, I expect a more explosive Whittaker who will fight in his natural walk-around weight.
Robert Whittaker’s Recent Fight Results
Whittaker was the former UFC middleweight champion. However, he has only won two of his last five bouts, with victories over Paulo Costa and Ikram Aliskerov and losses to Dricus Du Plessis, Khamzat Chimaev, and Reinier de Ridder.
Nikita Krylov’s Recent Fight Results
Krylov was the former Fight Nights Global champion before signing with the UFC in 2018. In his last five bouts, he recorded three wins (Volkan Oezdemir, Ryan Spann, and Modestas Bukauskas) and two losses (Dominick Reyes and Bogdan Guskov).
