UFC 329: Tracy Cortez vs. Wang Cong: Prediction
With Wang having more variety in his striking, I predict a decision win for her over Cortez. The biggest catalyst in this match is Wang’s kicks, as they will be crucial to keeping Cortez at bay, especially if she shoots for takedowns.
Cortez can force a grappling match if she wants to neutralize the threat of Wang’s striking, but she’s also a very striker. I just think Wang has more diverse striking, but the speed difference between the two fighters is almost the same.
I think Wang will win the majority of the striking exchanges and stop several of Cortez’s takedown attempts. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wang ends up on the mount if they find themselves in scrambles because she has decent grappling and jiu-jitsu skills as well.
