The opener of the UFC 330 card on Saturday will be the welterweight showdown between Jeremiah Wells and Myktybek Orolbai inside the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.

With his current three-fight winning streak, Orolbai enters the match as the heavy betting favorite with -1200 UFC odds. On the other hand, Wells, who’s fresh off a bounce-back win, is going to be the overwhelming underdog with +725 odds.

UFC 330: Jeremiah Wells vs. Myktybek Orolbai: Prediction

A decision win for Orolbai over Wells is my prediction because of the stylistic matchup. Orolbai has a grappling-heavy style, while Wells is more of a striker. Orolbai can neutralize the threat of Wells’ power and striking by taking him down.

Also, Orolbai is continuously improving his striking with Team Alpha Male. This makes his stand-up game underrated, but more importantly, it allows him to set up his takedowns more effectively without getting telegraphed.

Even though Orolbai will threaten several submissions when he successfully takes down Wells, I think that the American contender’s grit and durability will help him survive for three rounds and get to the judges’ scorecards.

Jeremiah Wells’ Recent Fight Results

Wells was the former CES and Cage Fury Fighting Championship titleholder before signing with the UFC in 2021. He racked up three wins in his last five appearances inside the octagon, with victories over Court McGee, Matthew Semelsberger, and Themba Gorimbo, while his losses were to Carlston Harris and Max Griffin.
