UFC 331: Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mauricio Ruffy: Prediction

I predict a decision win for Tsarukyan over Ruffy because he’s the better overall grappler. Tsarukyan will most likely utilize his elite wrestling to take Ruffy down and inflict damage on the ground with ground-and-pound strikes.

Ruffy is a savage striker, so I think he’ll have his own moments against Tsarukyan by waiting for him to come in and fire a counter. But Tsarukyan’s toughness and durability will help him absorb Ruffy’s powerful strikes.

Once Tsarukyan gets a hold of Ruffy, I think it’ll be an automatic takedown, since the latter’s takedown defense is always in question, especially against a grappling-heavy fighter like the former.

Arman Tsarukyan’s Recent Fight Results

Tsarukyan made his octagon debut in 2019. He has only dropped two fights in the promotion since and is currently on a five-fight win streak. During this period, he defeated Damir Ismagulov, Joaquim Silva, Beneil Dariush, Charles Oliveira, and Dan Hooker.

Mauricio Ruffy’s Recent Fight Results

Ruffy was the former Mega Fight Championship titleholder before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023 and earned a contract. Since then, he has recorded five wins and one loss: victories over Jamie Mullarkey, James Llontop, King Green, Rafael Fiziev, and Michael Chandler, and a lone defeat to Benoit Saint Denis.
