Vicious heavyweight contenders Gable Steveson and Sean Sharaf are scheduled for an exciting showdown at UFC 331 on Saturday inside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Both fighters have a 100% finish rate, but Steveson’s undefeated record has made him the clear betting favorite at -2500 UFC odds, while Sharaf, who’s on a two-fight losing skid, is the +1050 underdog.

UFC 331: Gable Steveson vs. Sean Sharaf: Prediction

I predict a submission win for Steveson over Sharaf, as he’s the better grappler thanks to his wrestling background. Steveson may not have fully showcased his grappling skills because he often prefers to finish opponents with ground-and-pound strikes.

I think Steveson will finally show his submission skills in this fight against Sharaf. It will not only avoid the danger of Sharaf’s power, but also prove he’s a complete mixed martial artist the division should be wary of.

Gable Steveson’s Recent Fight Results

Steveson made his pro MMA debut last year and has won all four of his fights. He defeated Braden Peterson, Kevin Hein, and Hugo Lezama, and he had a dream octagon debut against Elisha Ellison in July.

Sean Sharaf’s Recent Fight Results

Sharaf was undefeated when he signed with the UFC in October 2024. However, he hasn’t won a fight under the promotion, suffering losses to Junior Tafa and Steven Asplund in his first two assignments inside the octagon.
