The opening bout of the UFC 331 card on Saturday will feature the featherweight clash between veteran Giga Chikadze and surging contender Joanderson Brito inside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Due to his three-fight losing skid, Chikadze enters the match as the betting underdog with +340 UFC odds. On the other hand, Brito, who’s riding a two-fight win streak, is going to be the betting favorite with -450 odds.

UFC 331: Giga Chikadze vs. Joanderson Brito: Prediction

A TKO/KO victory for Brito over Chikadze is my prediction, as his style perfectly fits the Georgian contender. Brito likes to blitz opponents with extended combinations, which catches them off guard.

Chikadze thrives with long-range weapons, especially his kicks, thanks to his Karate base. But opponents have countered this style by closing the distance to avoid danger from his kicks and minimize its damage.

Additionally, Chikadze’s cardio has been exposed multiple times because he fades as the fight progresses. This creates opportunities for opponents to overwhelm him and finish him as he’s exhausted.

Giga Chikadze’s Recent Fight Results

Chikadze is a UFC veteran contender who has been with the promotion since 2019. However, he has won only one of his last five, defeating Alex Caceres but losing to Calvin Kattar, Arnold Allen, David Onama, and Kevin Vallejos.

Joanderson Brito’s Recent Fight Results

Brito is a product of Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021. In his last five bouts inside the octagon, he racked up three wins (Jack Shore, Isaac Thomson, and Jordan Leavitt) and two losses (William Gomis and Pat Sabatini).
