UFC 331: Tai Tuivasa vs. Robelis Despaigne: Prediction
I predict a TKO/KO win for Despaigne over Tuivasa because he’s the taller, longer fighter. In the heavyweight division, where most contenders are power punchers, every inch matters, and I think Despaigne will maximize his advantage against Tuivasa.
Despaigne and Tuivasa are heavy hitters, but I think the first to land a cleaner strike will win. This is where Despaigne’s height, reach, and leg-length advantage will come into play. He can probe with a jab or a kick while avoiding major threats from Tuivasa’s strikes.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the fight goes past the first round because both fighters might measure each other early, but I believe Despaigne will eventually land the shot and finish Tuivasa with a vicious punch or kick.
Tai Tuivasa’s Recent Fight Results
Tuivasa was an undefeated prospect when the UFC signed him in 2017. But he hasn’t won a fight since 2022 and has dropped his last seven fights to Ciryl Gane, Sergei Pavlovich, Alexander Volkov, Marcin Tybura, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Tallison Teixeira, and Louie Sutherland.
Robelis Despaigne’s Recent Fight Results
Despaigne made his octagon debut in 2024, but he has only recorded one win in his first three bouts in the promotion. He defeated Josh Parisian but lost to Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Austen Lane. Despaigne redeemed himself with a win over Junior Dos Santos outside the UFC.
