Top UFC middleweight prospect Ateba Gautier is set to face veteran contender Roman Kopylov on the main card of UFC 332 on Saturday at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

Due to his 5-0 record under the Las Vegas-based promotion, Gautier is going to be the betting favorite with -275 UFC odds, while Kopylov, who’s coming off a bounce-back win in his previous fight, will be the +210 betting underdog.

UFC 332: Ateba Gautier vs. Roman Kopylov: Prediction

With the power and newly found technical approach of Gautier, I predict a TKO/KO win for him over Kopylov. Gautier has learned early in his career that he needs to be economical with his energy and not punch himself out.

Now, Gautier fires a more calculated combination and has stopped swinging wildly. This lets him pick his best shots until he finds the mark and significantly compromises his opponents with power punches.

Another major factor here is the gap in reach, with Gautier enjoying a 6-inch reach advantage, which will be key in their striking exchanges. Kopylov would need to cover more distance before he lands a shot against Gautier, and I believe he’ll get countered on the way in.

Ateba Gautier’s Recent Fight Results

Gautier joined Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2024 and secured a UFC contract with a second-round stoppage win over Yura Naito. Since then, he has won all his bouts inside the octagon with victories over Jose Daniel Medina, Robert Valentin, Tre’ston Vines, Andrey Pulyaev, and Ozzy Diaz.

Roman Kopylov’s Recent Fight Results

Kopylov was the former Fight Nights Global titleholder before the UFC signed him in 2019. He won three of his last five matches, beating Cesar Almeida, Chris Curtis, and Marco Tulio, but lost to Paulo Costa and Gregory Rodrigues.
