UFC 332: Court McGee vs. Eric Nolan: Prediction

A submission win for McGee is my prediction over Nolan because he has the tools and skill set to counter Nolan’s striking. McGee’s constant pressure makes young fighters like Nolan uncomfortable and forces them to commit mistakes in scrambles.

Even at 41, McGee’s fighting style remains intact because he doesn’t rely on athleticism or explosiveness to submit opponents. Instead, he beats opponents by breaking them down with nonstop pressure and elite submission skills.

McGee needs to be wary of Nolan’s power with his punches and kicks, as he has one-strike knockout capability. But I believe that his veteran wits will neutralize this raw power against his younger opponent.

Court McGee’s Recent Fight Results

McGee has been with the UFC since 2010 after winning The Ultimate Fighter 11. But in his last five bouts, he has one win (Tim Means) and four losses (Jeremiah Wells, Matt Brown, Alex Morono, and Michael Chiesa).

Eric Nolan’s Recent Fight Results

Nolan was the former CFFC titleholder before the UFC signed him last year. However, he hasn’t won a fight under the Las Vegas-based promotion, losing to Baisangur Susurkaev and Farman Hasanov in his first two outings inside the octagon.
