UFC Baku: Ikram Aliskerov vs. Brunno Ferreira: Prediction
My prediction is a decision win for Aliskerov over Ferreira because he’s the better grappler and more disciplined striker. Even though Ferreira has decent grappling skills of his own, I still think Aliskerov’s relentless pressure and wrestling are just on another level.
The biggest chink in the armor of Ferreira is when he switches stances, as he’s more vulnerable to punches whenever he does so. This allows opponents to land more damaging, more accurate punches because his chin is exposed.
Apart from the edge in grappling, Aliskerov also employs a kick-heavy striking style that can compromise the movement of Ferreira. This is perfect for Aliskerov, as Ferreira doesn’t usually check these leg kicks.
Ikram Aliskerov’s Recent Fight Results
Aliskerov secured a UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2022 when he submitted Mario Sousa in the first round. Since then, he won four of his five bouts inside the octagon. His victories were against Phil Hawes, Warlley Alves, Andre Muniz, and JunYong Park. His only UFC loss was to Robert Whittaker.
