UFC Baku: Tahir Abdullayev vs. Jefferson Nascimento: Prediction
I predict a TKO/KO finish for Abdullayev over Nascimento, as he’s the superior grappler and his fighting style fits perfectly against the latter. Although Abdullayev is known for his elite wrestling skills, his striking is a bit underrated.
I think Nascimento is expecting a grappling-heavy fight plan from Abdullayev and could potentially overlook the Azerbaijani’s striking skills. Abdullayev can also put the lights out of his opponents with a single punch.
Abdullayev should shoot for takedowns early into the fight to make Nascimento think that he’ll go all out with his wrestling. Then, once Nascimento’s hands drop and his stance lowers, he should catch him with a quick combination up top.

Nascimento was the former LFA champion and is currently an undefeated pro MMA fighter. His last five wins were against Matheus Rocha, Italo Gomes, Gabriel Costa, Baysangur Makaev, and Gian Maurente.
