Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz is back in action at UFC Belgrade on Saturday, as he’s set to face rising contender Navajo Stirling in the event’s co-main event inside the Belgrade Arena in Serbia.

As the undefeated fighter, Stirling will be the betting favorite heading into the match with -325 UFC odds, while Blachowicz, who hasn’t won a match since May 2022, is going to be the +260 betting underdog.

UFC Belgrade: Jan Blachowicz vs. Navajo Stirling: Prediction

I predict a unanimous decision win for Stirling over Blachowicz, as he’s the quicker and younger fighter. Blachowicz may be a better grappler than Stirling, but at his age, he can’t afford to have a grappling-heavy fight plan.

Blachowicz has completely transitioned to a more striking-heavy approach because his cardio might not hold up for a full fight at 43 years old. Stirling needs to be careful of the calf kicks Blachowicz throws, as he still throws them effectively, and the damage can compound as the fight progresses if he doesn’t defend them.

Stirling should have the edge in striking, especially with his kickboxing background. He’ll also have the luxury of having the current UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg in his camp, who defeated Blachowicz over a year ago.

Jan Blachowicz’s Recent Fight Results

Blachowicz was the former UFC light heavyweight champion and has been with the promotion since 2014. However, his last win inside the octagon was in May 2022 against Aleksandar Rakic, and the other four ended in a defeat (Alex Pereira and Carlos Ulberg) and a draw (Magomed Ankalaev and Bogdan Guskov).

Navajo Stirling’s Recent Fight Results

Stirling was a former Shuriken Fight Series and Hex Fight Series titleholder before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024. Since earning a UFC contract, he has remained undefeated and won five straight fights against Tuco Tokkos, Ivan Erslan, Rodolfo Bellato, Bruno Lopes, and Ion Cutelaba.
