UFC Belgrade: Mateusz Rebecki vs. Kyle Prepolec: Prediction

I predict a decision win for Rebecki over Prepolec, as he’s the better overall striker and more powerful puncher. Both are incredibly high-level grapplers, thanks to their Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt credentials.

I think the elite grappling of both fighters will nullify each other and make this a striking affair for most of the bout. Rebecki has more variety in his strikes, with punches and kicks delivering a lot more power.

Meanwhile, Prepolec seems to be gun-shy with his strikes and mainly uses them to change levels and go to takedowns. If he second-guesses his strikes against Rebecki, Prepolec will be a recipient of a striking clinic from Rebecki, who will go to piece him up on the feet.

Mateusz Rebecki’s Recent Fight Results

Rebecki was a former FEN titleholder before joining Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022, where he earned a UFC contract. However, in his last five bouts inside the octagon, he recorded one win (Myktybek Orolbai) and four losses (Diego Ferreira, Chris Duncan, Ludovit Klein, and Grant Dawson).

Kyle Prepolec’s Recent Fight Results

Prepolec is a returnee to the UFC after losing his first two bouts under the promotion in 2019. Since his comeback, he still hasn’t recorded a win, as he absorbed back-to-back losses to Benoit Saint Denis and Drew Dober.
